Koalas are purely herbivores and only eat certain eucalyptus leaves. They rarely drink water, as all liquid they require comes from the eucalyptus leaves.Due to the lack of natural predators on the Australian mainland, the koala is near the top of the food chain. They love to eat Eucalyptus Leaves, once in a while they will climb down to get some water but then race back up,They sometimes climb down to eat the soil which provides the natural minerals and the soil also helps the leaves get broken down in the stomach.
